What are your Beard hats made of?

The Original Beardo beard hats are handmade with 100% acrylic yarn for the warmest and most comfortable feel on your head and face. With time and careful research, we have designed the highest quality product with a thick knit pattern and slightly slouchy fit to keep you comfortable, even in extreme weather conditions.

What size are the beard hats, how do I know it will fit me?

The selection is easy! The Original beardo styles are all adjustable and one-size fits all!  There are also Kids options availble, which are ideal for ages 3-10.  The beard is designed using soft velcro attachments on the inside of the beanie, to tighten or loosen for the best fit.  It  also has an adjustment range of up to 14 centimeters (5.5 inches), and can be folded away inside, for that nice smooth-shaven look.   Other hats and options are one-size fits most.

How do I take care of my knit product?

Care should be taken when washing any knit product. Like any beanie, the Beardo's should be hand washed in cold water and laid flat to dry to avoid stretching or damage.  This will help to extend the life of your product.

Do your Ear loop masks prevent viruses? 

Beardo® makes no warranties, expressed or implied, that our Non-Medical Earloop masks will prevent infection and/or the transmission of viruses or diseases. If you are seeking medical masks for medical uses such as surgery, we advise contacting your local medical supply company for guidance regarding sourcing the right masks for your specific medical or procedural needs.


How much does shipping cost?

Please refer to the checkout for all real-time shipping prices (simply select a product and go to checkout to select your country).  We are proud to display costs inclusive of freight, taxes (if applicable) and handling for your convenience.  Orders are sometimes subject to regular customs duties as levied by the destination country when traveling internationally. Canadian customers that upgrade to services such as UPS & FedEX may incur brokerage fees added by that carrier. USPS on the other hand does not charge brokerage fees. Although we ship the majority of orders from USA at this time, when inventory allows, we do send Canadian orders from within the country to avoid any customs charges to the customer.  

Do you ship internationally?.. and where do you ship from?

Yes, we ship to every country around the World!  You can choose your countries flag from the top of the site if it is listed and be directed to your local Official Beardo® shops, or simply order from this site which directs mainly from a USA warehouse. Note that the majority of Canadian and USA orders are shipped from PA, USA, although if ordering from Canada we will always try to ship from Toronto, Ontario when available stock allows.  You can also try our 'store locator' for other online and retail options that may be nearby. *Please note:  Orders are sometimes subject to regular customs duties as levied by the destination country.  We ship most orders from USA at this time, but for orders from Canada we will try to ship within the country when Canadian inventory allows.  

My tracking number doesn’t seem to be working, are you sure you sent my package?

Do not worry, you may have a tracking number but sometimes the tracking does not become 'live' for half a day or so. If you have the tracking info, the item was sent and should be received within the normal shipping times. We have yet to ‘forget’ to send a package so far!   For international orders, the tracking may not get updated until arrival, this depends on the destination country and carrier infrastructure.
Note: If emailing customer service a transaction ID MUST be stated so we can easily reference your order.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Orders are now processed same or next day!  In Canada and USA, orders will generally arrive within 4-8 business days depending on your location (city, remote, etc..). All International orders (outside North America) generally take between 8-16 business days to arrive depending on the destination, remoteness and customs processing times. Delivery times may vary in peak seasons such as Christmas. Unfortunately, this is something we have no control over and we thank you for your understanding while the shipping companies get through their seasonal rush. If your item is not received after these times, please contact us so that we may ensure you receive your order... we can proudly say that we have not lost a package yet! If you have already ordered and it is has been longer than the noted shipping times + up to 5 BUSINESS days for processing and customs, please double check your mailing address to ensure that it is correct. (apartment numbers are the most commonly made mistakes). It is common for postal carriers to simply return the items to us if the address is incorrect. Either way we will be sure to get you what you ordered :)

Wholesale orders require a minimum order size of 25 items. Please send us an email for more information and be sure to include your company name and business number with your request for info.  For Custom orders, please note that we do have minimums for custom orders, and do not make single custom products.

How secure is this store?

Your confidential information is automatically encrypted in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).  In short, its secure!

What forms of payment do you accept?

Update: We now accept Bitcoin through our Bitpay Merchant Solution!  We Also gladly accept major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover through our processor, or payments through PayPal.

Do I need a PayPal account to purchase from this store?

No, you are not required to have a PayPal account to purchase from this store and you can simply use your credit card at checkout. Although if you already have a PayPal account you may use it. 

What currency do you charge?

The prices are charged in USD. This will not affect you as paypal converts any currency you hold, or have chosen to use for orders into our preferred currency. Some customers have expressed interest in our choice to charge in USD, so here is the explanation: This is due to several factors including: a majority international customer base, global competitive edge in an expanding online industry and the Beardowear business to business relations and fees are exchanged in USD.


What is your return policy?

Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. If a product is defective due to manufacturer fault, it may be exchanged within 10 days of delivery (unworn and unwashed) for a new product which will be shipped to you at no additional charge. Please email our staff at beardosales (at) gmail (dot) com with the reason for the exchange. You will then be given a return address depending on your location. Please include a copy of the packing slip that was sent with your original purchase. If no packing slip is available, include the name and address of the person who ordered the product and an approximate order date. Please note that returns or exchanges will NOT be accepted for a change of mind about color or style options. In this case however, we can provide a swap for unopened/unworn items. Additional and return shipping costs are the customers responsibility, as well as an $8.00 re-stocking fee. On Original Beard hats the fit is slightly slouchy to accommodate the beard when folded away. If you have further questions please contact us!

Who do I contact for Images, samples and interviews?

Because we take all of our own photography, providing high-resolution, 300 DPI images in nearly any conceivable format is not a problem. Please send us an email regarding your request for a high resolution photograph of one of our products, or info required. This is by far our most common request from magazines, TV and blogs and we're more than happy to oblige! Don't be surprised if we email you the requested photo within hours of receiving the request.
